The Flux collateral that is locked up to operate your node will always remain in your wallet and belongs to you. It can be unlocked and withdrawn at any time.

Here are the rewards for each node tier:

Node Tier
Reward Amount

Cumulus

2.8125 Flux

Nimbus

4.6875 Flux

Stratus

11.25 Flux

In addition to the rewards above, you will also accumulate the same amount split across 10 Parallel Assets. For instance, each Cumulus reward pays 2.8125 in native Flux, and you will also earn 0.28125 Flux on each of the 10 Parallel Assets.

Your node receives a reward every time it reaches the front of the queue. Each position in the queue takes one block, which is approximately 2 minutes. The time it takes for you to receive a reward is determined by the total number of FluxNodes in your tier. For example, if there are 2000 nodes in your tier, you will be paid once every 4000 minutes, or roughly 2.8 days.

When calculating the profitability of running a node, you must also consider your operating costs. These may include electricity and hardware expenses for nodes run from home, or rental costs if you are using a rented server.

The Info website offers a basic calculator to help you determine the profitability of your node.
