Rented Dedicated Server
It's important to be cautious of scammers who may try to take advantage of you. Only seek help through official channels such as this Wiki and the Flux Helpdesk to avoid fraudulent activities. Unofficial help can be obtained at your own risk on our Discord Server.
A dedicated server is a type of physical server that offers complete control over its hardware resources. This allows you to utilize all of the CPU, RAM, and storage available on the server without having to share it with other users. While dedicated servers are typically more costly than VPS hosting, they provide you with unrestricted access to all available resources. If your dedicated server has the necessary hardware to satisfy the combined requirements of multiple Flux Nodes, you may operate them on a single dedicated server.
We have compiled a list of tested dedicated server providers here to help you find suitable options (different node tiers are listed on separate tabs). Although this list is not comprehensive, the providers included have been tested by members of the Flux community and are reported to be suitable.
The Flux team does not endorse any particular server provider, and ultimately, the decision is up to you. We advise that you conduct thorough research to ensure that you make an informed choice.
Due to the variations in the ordering process and customer dashboard for each server provider, we cannot provide detailed instructions for each one. We suggest installing Ubuntu 20.04 as your operating system, but if you prefer to use a different operating system, a list of compatible options are listed on the Operating System section of this wiki.
After you have successfully installed your operating system, you may proceed to the Flux Node Installationof this wiki which will guide you through the process of installing your Flux Node.
